LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., PA — Sprouts Farmers Market, a fast-growing national grocery chain known for its fresh, natural, and organic offerings, is planning its first store in the Lehigh Valley.

The proposed store at 2550 Route 100 would span approximately 22,000 square feet and is expected to feature a wide range of fresh produce, bulk goods, vitamins, and lifestyle-friendly products such as organic, plant-based, and gluten-free items.

If approved, this would be Sprouts’ first location in the Lehigh Valley and a continuation of the company’s expansion across Pennsylvania. The chain currently operates five stores in the state—including three in Philadelphia, one in Montgomery County, and one in York—with another expected to open at Festival Pier in Philadelphia this summer.

Founded and headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Sprouts employs roughly 35,000 people and operates more than 440 stores in 24 states. The company has a strong presence in California, Florida, Texas, and Arizona.

Sprouts stores are known for their open floor plans centered around fresh produce, with a focus on wholesome, health-conscious products. The proposed Lower Macungie location would bring these offerings to a growing community of shoppers looking for more natural and organic grocery options.
