Unwine Vineyards - Bethlehem’s New Wine Bar and Art Emporium

BETHLEHEM, Pa – Bethlehem has a new spot worth getting excited about. Unwine Vineyards has officially opened at 309 E Third Street in South Bethlehem, offering a welcoming mix of handcrafted wine, original artwork, and natural artisan products all under one roof.

The business is owned by Joel Ritter and Mary Reshetar, partners in both life and creativity. Joel has been making wine and beer for more than twenty years for friends and family, and after perfecting his craft, he knew it was time to share it with the public. Most of the wines served and sold at Unwine Vineyards are made from grapes grown at Joel and Mary’s fifty-acre vineyard in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Their wines are created using an old-world, labor-intensive winemaking style that produces rich, high-quality flavors. Guests can expect a variety that includes Niagara, Cayuga, Chardonnay, Catawba, Sweet Red Blends, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and rotating seasonal wines like organic mint wine, elderberry wine, and peach wine.

Mary, a trained artist with a degree in art education, fills the space with her original paintings and mixed-media pieces. Her work incorporates resin, earth elements, and natural crystals, and she has been painting for most of her life. She believes everyone should have the opportunity to own original art, which is why most of her pieces range from $175 to $1,200, with many priced accessibly in the $375 to $475 range.

Along with her artwork, Mary creates a line of all-natural, chemical-free products that has quickly become a favorite among customers. This includes tinctures, magnesium spray for sleep, natural tooth powder made with bentonite clay and myrrh, herbal remedies, elderberry syrup, medicinal teas, and small-batch candles made from a soy, apricot, and beeswax blend. Each candle is free of phthalates and includes an intention such as love, peace, grateful, or calm.

The space also features handmade jewelry, pottery, artisan goods, and a thoughtful selection of retail products. Beyond wine, Unwine Vineyards serves local Pennsylvania beers and spirits from around the Lehigh Valley.

Although the business is new to Bethlehem, Joel and Mary previously operated their original location, known as Unwine with Art, in downtown Easton from 2019 to 2020. That location closed during the pandemic, but their vision has now been reborn in Bethlehem and expanded into something even more special.

Joel and Mary proudly refer to their business as “The Winery Without the Snobbery,” highlighting that it is a place where everyone can feel welcome and find something they enjoy.

Their official grand opening is November 22, 2025, from 12 PM to 8 PM. They are already considering hosting wine-pairing classes, painting classes, candle-making workshops, tea parties, and more. Updates will be posted on their website, Facebook, and on Instagram at @unwinewithart.

Unwine Vineyards is all about community, creativity, and inviting people to relax, explore, and enjoy something made with genuine passion. Bethlehem’s Southside just gained a truly unique local treasure.
